Getting in The Flow with giving back.

Each quarter, I am making a commitment to choose one new project from globalgiving.org to help fund with a portion of the proceeds from my book.
I decided this quarter's project would be one intended to help educate children in Africa who have been orphaned by HIV/AIDS.
If you can, please help this noble cause (or any other of your choice) in whatever way you like - either by giving to this project directly by clicking on the logo below, or by buying a copy of my book on Amazon.
And please look at all the other wonderful projects that are highlighted at globalgiving.org. There are a lot of people doing some really amazing things for the good of the world!

Hey Tara, thanks for featuring GlobalGiving, where I work - and what a great idea to select a different project to support each quarter. I don't know if you've seen this, but the AIDS orphan project that you highlighted recently posted poems written by the children of the Nyaka School (http://www.globalgiving.com/pr/900/proj898a.html#progressReports) - they are incredibly moving. Take a look.
Congrats on your book. No doubt generosity is a key part of transforming one's life. Thanks for inspiring others!
Hi Joan!
Thank you so much for telling me about those beautiful poems! You are right - they are very moving - I still have tears in my eyes as I write this. That is the reason that you do what you do, no doubt!
Thank you for contacting me - I “found” global giving by accident when I was trying to compile a list of charities to donate to from the proceeds of my book. I was so impressed with the way that you show - in detail - so many wonderful on-the-ground projects, and tell people exactly how their contributions are helping. I also thought it was completely brilliant that you show what the goal funding is for each project, and how far along they are.
That alone encourages people to give - after all, what we hear about most is how things are getting worse, how things will never change, and so on - but when you can see a real goal that has a definite objective, and you know that if you give, you are making a real impact, well, that's just powerful.
Thank you for your noble work. My goal is to grow The Flow community to a place where we can bring one project a quarter to “fully funded” status.
How great would that be?
Much love,
Tara
