What music has made the biggest difference in your life?

Posted on Feb 4th, 2009 by Tara : Life Transformation Goddess :o) Tara
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for February 04, 2009:

Elvis Presley. Okay - let me explain that one. My dad always loved Elvis, and I grew up dancing with my dad to his music, often while my dad did his best Presley impression. I particularly remember one evening when I was allowed to stay up to see Elvis's concert in Hawaii on tv, and I was in my little white nightgown, and my dad was dancing around the room with me. It still makes me smile - and I just feel connected to my dad whenever I hear Elvis now.

Recently, I have been loving Pink (she is so raw and exactly who she is - unapologetically exactly who she is, and that inspires me - I admire it!). Also, I truly love India. Arie - especially her first album, which I thought was one of the best albums in total I have ever heard.

Beyond that, I love hip hop. Always have. Turning some hip hop in in my car will always put me in a better mood, and being in a better mood means that I create a better day for myself and everyone around me - I that is a pretty good effect!!

What religious figure would you like to have met?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for February 05, 2009:

Any. I would love to ask any major religious figure - such as those featured in religious texts or those that wrote them - how much of the texts that we have now are actually what was said or intended.

It would be fascinating to hear about the real words and intentions of any of these people...

What have you learned about love?

Posted on Feb 13th, 2009 by Tara : Life Transformation Goddess :o) Tara
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for February 13, 2009:

I have learned that love is, above all, incredibly easy. If you are with someone that continually pushes your buttons, makes you angry, or that it just feels like it is a struggle, this is not the "perfect person" for you.  This is not unconditional love - this is being together for otehr reasons entirely.

Love should flow - beautifully and easily. You should feel totally, unconditionally loved by the one that you are with, and they should feel just as loved by you.

In order to find this kind of love, you must first decide exactly who you really want - the qualities that you truly desire. Then, you must work on yourself to believe that you deserve this love. Finally, you must open to it - to allowing it to flow to you with ease.

Never settle. Don't believe that love is a struggle, or that arguing is normal. I have been with my husband for 10 years now, and we have never had a fight. We completely, totally, and entirely adore each other for exactly who we are, and we support each other in the ways that we decide to change.

Believe that this is possible for you, too. Everyone deserves this experience of love - and everyone can have it.
